Short CV

I studied Psychology at the Humboldt-University of Berlin and the City College of New York, conducted my PhD in Cognitive Neuroscience at the Max-Planck-Institute of Cognitive and Brain Sciences in Leipzig, and completed my academic teaching certificate (habilitation) in Psychology at the Goethe-University Frankfurt/M. As a postdoc I was based in Cambridge, Frankfurt/Main, the University of California, Berkeley, and the University of Zurich. I also worked as a lecturer at the University of Bern. In 2017, I joined the University of Würzburg as a Heisenbergprofessor of Translational Social Neuroscience at the Department of Psychiatry, Psychosomatic and Psychotherapy. I am married and mother of two wonderful sons.
